Veterinarians

Blake Dickerson, DVM

Blake Dickerson

Dr. Dickerson currently resides in Kansas City, Missouri, with his wife, Erin, and two dogs, Gumbo and Roux. He graduated from Kansas State in Manhattan, KS. Dr. Dickerson is passionate in leading efforts to eliminate breed-specific legislation that bans dogs simply because of their breed. He believes that there is a good fit for every breed with the right family, and it’s important to make an informed decision. Dr. Dickerson enjoys working with all cats and dogs and is highly regarded for his extensive experience with pet dentistry and oral surgical care.

Trent Eddy, DVM

Trent Eddy

Dr. Eddy currently resides in Overland Park with his wife, Beth, and sons, Truman and Andrew. He graduated from Kansas State in Manhattan, KS. Growing up in a family with a strong work ethic, Dr. Eddy has poured his life into caring for stressed cats and dogs. He quickly explains, “Though it would be much easier to just hold an animal down and ‘get the job done,’ I believe that pausing – and really taking into account the amount of stress an animal might be experiencing – can turn the veterinary experience into something positive for pets and their owners.” He is recognized as an outstanding soft tissue surgeon and proudly takes the time needed to acclimate all pets at the clinic.

Technicians

Kaylea
Veterinary Technician

Kaylea

Kaylea has been part of the veterinary field since 2016, beginning her career as a kennel technician while still in high school. Her lifelong love of animals inspired her to pursue a career where she could play a role in keeping pets happy and healthy.

She joined Ironhorse Veterinary Care in September of 2024, and is excited to be part of the team. As a Veterinary Technician, Kaylea has developed special interests in dentistry and geriatric/supportive care, but she also enjoys the excitement of seeing young, healthy puppies and kitties come through the clinic. She takes pride in providing compassionate, thorough care to every patient.

At home, Kaylea shares life with her Siberian Husky, Leo, whom she raised from a puppy. Outside of work, she enjoys baking - and her coworkers are often treated to her homemade goodies after a weekend in the kitchen.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys reading, paddleboarding, and traveling with her husband.
